How to Manage the Point of Contact for an Architect from Licensing Manager
Every individual in Licensing System needs to have an account. That means Points of Contact
(POCs) need to make their own account outside of the architect and be associated with the
architect. This may be something different from what the POC is accustomed to and they may
need help assigning a POC for their architect. Architects should create their own account,
assign their point of contact, and then allow the POC to manage their license from there. In
cases where this isn’t possible, staff can set an architect’s point of contact from the staff side.
Navigating to the “Point of Contact” screen
- Open the manager site and select the “Architects” tab.
- Select the architect to be modified.
- In the left navigation select “Point of Contact”.
- The “Point of Contact” screen will appear differently depending on whether a point of contact is already assigned.
Assigning a Point of Contact
- Click the “Assign Point of Contact” button.
- Enter the Point of Contact’s Email address and leave the field.
- If the email address corresponds to a person already in the system a dialog will appear asking for confirmation. If the person indicated in the dialog is correct click “Yes, continue” otherwise click “No, go back” to enter different information.
- Enter a title if desired and click “Next”.
- If the email address does not correspond to an existing person, no dialog will appear. Continue filling out the form and click “Next”.
- A screen will appear asking for verification of the Point of Contact’s information. Click “Save”.
- A success screen will appear indicating that the point of contact has been successfully assigned. Click “Close”.
Removing a Point of Contact
- Currently assigned point of contact will appear in the section labelled “Access to This Record”.
- Click the "..." icon for the point of contact to be removed.
- Select “Remove Access” in the menu that appears.
- A confirmation dialog will appear. Click “Yes, revoke”.
- A message will appear in the upper right corner of the window indicating that the point of contact has been removed.
Changing a Point of Contact
- Currently assigned point of contact will appear in the section labelled “Access to This Record”.
- Click the "..." icon for the point of contact to be changed.
- Select “Update POC” in the menu that appears.
- A blank Point of Contact form will appear. Follow the instructions above in the section titled “Assigning a Point of Contact” to continue.
